Special City Council Meeting

July 7, 2008

Present: Damgaard, Pracht, Riddle, Weuve   Absent:  Hendricks

Mayor Taylor called the special meeting to order at 7:31 PM. 

Damgaard made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Pracht – 4ayes.

Public was present .  William Dillon was present to inquire about the City’s regulations on pool barrier, the mayor and clerk responded.  Frontier Phone Service issues were briefly discussed. 

Damgaard made a motion to approve the signing of document regarding the City’s responsibility’s for the site prep of the Legion’s Eagle Monument Project, seconded by Pracht – 4 ayes.

Damgaard made a motion to approve Resolution 2008-20 (set date for meeting on authorization of short term debt for park land acquisition), seconded by Riddle – 4 ayes.

Riddle made a motion to vacate/close the regular part time maintenance position, seconded by Weuve – 4 ayes.

Pracht made a motion to direct the City Clerk to apply to grant funds for purposes of acquiring hazard mitigation lightening protection, seconded by Weuve – 4 ayes. 

Riddle made a motion to approve the closing of the City Park Campgrounds to the Public during 2008 Carson Pro-Rodeo 7/30/08-8/3/08, seconded by Pracht – 4 ayes.

Damgaard made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:09 PM, seconded by Riddle – 4 ayes.
